This work was created in 2018. The author painted this for a magazine’s request. Since the theme of the painting was “aspiration”, she painted student’s admired jobs of the students. The sub theme of this painting is ‘Spice up your life’. With that she would like to send cheers to students. Because people are having many struggles in their lives, she wanted people to enjoy their life by not losing their difficulties

あるところに緑いっぱいのとてもきれいな 森がありました。

Once upon a time, there was a very beautiful forest with a lot of greenery.

そこには、おにの子のぐーひがひとりすんでいました。
森には、たくさんの動物たちがすんでいます。
でもおにの子ぐーひとおなじなかまはいません。
「ぼくは　どうして一人ぼっちなんだろう」

A child of ogre, Gu-hi lived there alone.
There lived a lot of animals in the forest.
But Gu-hi had no friends there.
“Why I am alone…”

ある日、ぐーひの耳にとても楽しそうな音が聞こえてきました。
「なんの音だろう？」
ぐーひは、音のするところへ行ってみることにしました。

One day, Gu-hi heard very cheerful sound from somewhere.
“What is this sound?”
Gu-hi decided to go toward the sound.

そこでは、にんげんの子供たちが歌ったりおどったりとても楽しそうにしています。

Human children were singing and dancing very merrily.

ぐーひはひとり考えます。
「あの子たちはぼくとちがうんだ…」
ぐーひは悲しいきもちでいっぱいになりきた道をとぼとぼとかえっていきました。

Gu-hi thinks about himself.
“They are different from me…”
Gu-hi came to feel very sad and went back the way he had come wearily.

夏がすぎ森には秋がやってきました。

Summer has gone and fall has come in the forest.

森には、おいしそうな木の実がなりはじめました。
木の実につられて子供たちがぐーひのすむ森へ戻ってきました。

Trees in the forest began to bear delicious looking nuts.
The fruits drew the children back to the forest where Gu-hi lives.

子供たちはあっというまにオオカミに囲まれてしまいました。
子供たちはにげることもできずただただないていました。

The children got surrounded by the wolves in a flash.
The children couldn’t even run away from there and were just crying

ぐーひのかつやくでオオカミは子供たちをあきらめてにげていきました。
「もう大丈夫だよ」
ぐーひの声に子供たちがふりかえると…

Thanks to Gu-hi’s success, the wolves gave up to catch the children and ran away.
“It’s all right.”
When the children looked back at Gu-hi’s voice…

そこには、子供たちと同じ姿をしたぐーひがいました。
オオカミとのたたかいでぐーひのつのとキバはとれていました。

There was Gu-hi having the same appearance with human children.
After the fight with the wolves, his horn and tusks were gone.

そしてぐーひはにんげんの子供たちとおなじすがたになって
子供たちと楽しくくらしました。

Then Gu-hi got the same looking as human children and lived happily together with them.

それは、シャボン玉のようでもあり
お月様のようでもありました。

とても綺麗な色をした球が
ただ　フワフワ、フワフワと
風に　吹かれるまま空をただよっていました。

球の前を一匹の猫が歩いています。
猫は球を気にする様子もなく長くてつややかな毛を
風になびかせ自慢の美しいしっぽを立ててとても優雅
に歩いていました。

「アノコハ、トテモ　キレイダナァ…」

【綺麗だった球はまた少し黒くなりました。】

球の上を一羽の鳥が飛んで行きます。
鳥は吹く風を　もろともせずに
山を越え谷を越え行きたいところへ
自由に飛んで行きます。

「アノコハ、トテモ　ジユウダナァ…」

【少し黒かった球はかなり黒くなりました】

ずっと一緒

球の横を犬の親子がかけていきます。
母犬は子犬が転ばないように変なところに行かないように
ずっと寄り添いながら　子犬を守りながら　包みながらかけていきます。

「アノコハ、トテモ　アッタカソウダナァ…」

気が付くと　とてもキレイだった球は
黒く、冷たく、重く、固くなっていました。

黒く、冷たく、重く、固くなった球は風に吹かれることなく
地面の上から全く動かなくなりました。

【ワタシワ…】

「どうしたの？　そんなところで、何をしているの？」

猫が言いました。

「ねぇ　覚えている？私の長い毛や自慢のしっぽは、昔あなたが毎日美味しいご飯を作ってくれたじゃない。今私が美しいのは、あなたのおかげ」

鳥も言いました。

「ねぇ　覚えている？私が山を越え谷を越え行きたいところに行けるのは昔、高い木の枝にひっかかった私をあなたが助けてくれたからだよ。今私が自由なのは、あなたのおかげ。」

母犬もいいました。

「ねぇ　覚えている？私がこの子と一緒にいられるのは、私がこの子くらいの時に段ボールのすみで震えていた私を、あなたが温めてくれたからよ。今、私がこの子に愛情をそそげるのは、あなたのおかげ。」

割れた球の中から女の子があらわれました。
「みんな、ありがとう。私思い出す事ができた。もう寂しくないよ。これからはずっと一緒だよ。」

女の子が球になる事は二度とありませんでした。

かるがも母さんと　ちいさな５羽のこどもたちがくらしていました。

ぽかぽかのひは空をとぶ練習をします。
こどもたちはちいさな翼を「ぱたぱた」「ぱたぱた」
かるがも母さんは大きな翼を「ばさばさ」
「ぱぱぱ」「ぱぱぱ」「ぱたぱたぱた！！」
末っ子坊やは顔をまっかにしていました。

かるがも母さんは“くくう”とわらいました。
「ちいさいときの母さんにそっくりだわ」

かるがも母さんはこどもたちをのせて
大きな空をとんでいきます。
「こどもたち、大きくのびのび育って、好きなところへ、ワクワクするほうへとんでいくのよ」

白いくもはかるがも母さんの願いをのせて
どこまでも、どこまでも続いていくのでした。
